JOB VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

The Director of Ileje District Council invites qualified Tanzanian citizens who are interested in working with the Ileje District Council to apply for the following job vacancies, following the approval received under Ref. No. FA. 97/288/01/09 dated 25th June, 2024, from the Secretary General of the President’s Office, Public Service Management and Good Governance.

1.0 DRIVER GRADE II – 10 POSITIONS

1.1 JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

i. Inspect the vehicle before and after trips to ensure its safety condition.
ii. Transport staff to various locations for official trips.
iii. Perform minor vehicle repairs.
iv. Collect and deliver various documents.
v. Record and maintain all trip details in the trip logbook.
vi. Ensure the cleanliness of the vehicle.

1.1.1 QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have a Form IV Certificate and a Class C or E driving license, with at least one year of driving experience without causing any accidents.
  • Must have attended a basic driving course offered by VETA or any other government-recognized institution.

1.1.2 SALARY SCALE

  • According to the Government Salary Scale – TGS B

GENERAL CONDITIONS FOR APPLICANTS

i. All applicants must be Tanzanian citizens aged between 18 and 45 years, except for those already employed in the public service.
ii. Applicants with disabilities are encouraged to apply and must specify the type of disability in the job application system for the Public Service Employment Secretariat.
iii. All applicants must attach a certified birth certificate verified by a lawyer/advocate.
iv. Applicants must attach a detailed Curriculum Vitae (CV) with reliable contact information and the names of three credible referees.
v. All applications must include certified copies of academic certificates, transcripts, and other relevant training certificates, verified by a lawyer/advocate.
vi. Testimonials, Provisional Results, Statement of Results, and Form IV and VI Results Slips WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
vii. Applicants who studied abroad must ensure their certificates are verified by the relevant authorities (TCU, NECTA, and NACTE).
viii. Retired public servants are not allowed to apply unless they have permission from the Chief Secretary.
ix. Public servants already employed in temporary positions should not apply and must adhere to the guidelines in Circular No. CAC.45/257/01/D/140 dated 30th November, 2010.
x. Submission of false information will lead to legal action.
xi. The deadline for receiving applications is 6th March, 2025.
