The Catholic University of Health and Allied Sciences (CUHAS), owned by the Tanzania Episcopal Conference (TEC), is inviting highly qualified and motivated individuals to apply for various academic positions. CUHAS is a leading institution in Tanzania, offering a wide range of programs in health and allied sciences, including PhD, Master’s, Bachelor’s, and Diploma courses.

Available Positions:

  1. Weill Bugando School of Medicine
  • Lecturers in the following departments:
    • General Surgery (1 Post)
    • Orthopaedics and Trauma (2 Posts)
    • Paediatrics and Child Health (2 Posts)
    • Radiology (1 Post)
    • Anaesthesia (1 Post)
    • Emergency Medicine (1 Post)
    Qualifications:
  • Master of Medicine (MMed) or equivalent degree with a GPA of 4.0 and above, or an average of B+ grade from a recognized institution.
  • Must be registered by the respective Council/Board.
  • Teaching experience of 2 years is an added advantage.
  1. Institute of Allied Health Sciences
  • Tutor in the School of Diagnostic Radiography (1 Post) Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Imaging or equivalent with a score of at least B in the relevant subject and a GPA of 3.5 and above.
  • Must be registered by the respective Council/Board.

  • Strong teaching, research, and clinical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Computer skills and adaptability to new teaching methods.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Effective teaching and curriculum development.
  • Conducting high-quality research and publishing in reputable journals.
  • Providing clinical services and supervising students.
  • Participating in administrative tasks and departmental activities.

Remuneration:
Successful candidates will be offered competitive packages and benefits in accordance with their qualifications and experience as per the CUHAS Scheme of Service.
