The Public Service Recruitment Secretariat, on behalf of the National Institute of Transport (NIT), invites dynamic, proactive, experienced, and suitably qualified Tanzanians to fill 31 vacant posts as listed below.
1.0 THE NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF TRANSPORT (NIT)
The National Institute of Transport (NIT) is an autonomous higher learning institution established by the National Institute of Transport Act, No. 24 of 1982, and is fully accredited by the National Council for Technical Education (NACTE).
AVAILABLE POSITIONS
1.1 FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR II – 1 POST (RE-ADVERTISED)
- Duties and Responsibilities: Assist in training student pilots, conducting briefings, preparing lessons, and monitoring flight checks.
- Qualifications: Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education or Ordinary Certificate plus a valid CPL with ME and IR. Must have logged 250 flight hours, with 150 as PIC.
- Salary Scale: FAVS 4.1
1.2 CABIN CREW INSTRUCTOR II – 1 POST (RE-ADVERTISED)
- Duties and Responsibilities: Assist in cabin crew training, prepare materials, conduct examinations, and participate in research.
- Qualifications: Advanced Certificate plus Cabin Crew Ab-Initio Course certificate and valid Cabin Crew License. A Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields is an added advantage.
- Salary Scale: FAVS 1.1
1.3 AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTOR II – 1 POST (RE-ADVERTISED)
- Duties and Responsibilities: Assist in curriculum development, prepare lessons, and conduct training for aircraft maintenance engineering students.
- Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Aircraft Engineering or related fields with a GPA of 3.5 or above, plus a valid AMEL.
- Salary Scale: FAVS 3.1
1.4 FLIGHT OPERATIONS INSTRUCTOR II – 1 POST (RE-ADVERTISED)
- Duties and Responsibilities: Assist in training flight operations trainees and prepare materials for practical exercises.
- Qualifications: Advanced Certificate plus Flight Operations Officer Course certificate and valid license. A Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields is an added advantage.
- Salary Scale: FAVS 2.1
1.5 AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN II – 1 POST (RE-ADVERTISED)
- Duties and Responsibilities: Assist in aircraft maintenance training, prepare materials, and conduct examinations.
- Qualifications: Diploma in Aircraft Engineering or related fields, plus a certificate in aircraft workshop course. AMEL is an added advantage.
- Salary Scale: FAVS 2.1
1.6 ASSISTANT LECTURER IN LOGISTICS AND TRANSPORT MANAGEMENT – 5 POSTS
- Duties and Responsibilities: Teach, conduct research, supervise students, and develop curricula.
- Qualifications: Master’s degree in Logistics and Transport Management or related fields with a GPA of 3.8 or above.
