Job Announcement: Head of Ecobank Business Services
Ecobank Tanzania Limited is seeking a highly qualified and experienced professional to join our team as the Head of Ecobank Business Services. This is a key leadership role reporting directly to the Head of Operations & Technology, based in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
Job Summary:
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies in logistics, procurement, facility management, and property services. This role is critical in ensuring operational efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with Ecobank’s policies and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Performance: Provide cost-benefit analysis guidance to management and stakeholders, manage project finances, and maintain financial control.
- Relationship Management & Customer Service: Oversee external consultants, contractors, and vendors to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- People Management: Build and develop a high-performing team through performance development and coaching.
- Process, Controls, and Operational Performance: Manage procurement, vendor management, facilities, property, logistics, and transport to maximize benefits for Ecobank.
- Strategic Initiatives: Implement Ecobank Business Services (EBS) policies on logistics, procurement, facility management, and property services. Ensure health and safety practices are in place to minimize workplace hazards.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Procurement, Business Administration, Economics, or related fields.
- Professional Qualification: Certification in Procurement or Supply Chain Management from a recognized institution.
- Professional Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in procurement, with at least 3 years in a management role.
