About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Security Officer to join our team at Dangote Cement Plant in Mtwara, Tanzania. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our premises, personnel, and assets. This is a critical role that requires vigilance, strong communication skills, and the ability to handle security-related challenges effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Enforce access control systems for employees, contractors, and visitors.
• Patrol strategic points and installations to prevent unauthorized entry.
• Monitor surveillance equipment and inspect buildings, equipment, and access points.
• Report suspicious incidents, threats, or breaches in security systems.
• Confront and address any illegal actions against the premises.
• Complete regular written and verbal reports, including incident documentation.
• Ensure the operation of security equipment and perform preventive maintenance.
• Maintain a secure environment by monitoring and setting building and equipment controls.
• Uphold the company’s core values and Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct.

Requirements:

• Certificate of Secondary Education or higher, with proven security training (military, police, prison, militia, or private security training).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Swahili.
• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and technical skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
