Lab Leadership Program Short Course

ANNOUNCEMENT: GLOBAL LABORATORY LEADERSHIP PROGRAM SHORT COURSE

The Ministry of Health, through the Diagnostics and Healthcare Technical Services Unit (DHCTSU), in collaboration with Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences (MUHAS), is pleased to announce a short course on the Global Laboratory Leadership Programme (GLLP). This program is designed to mentor and empower emerging laboratory leaders to strengthen and sustain national laboratory systems.

Who Can Apply?
Eligible applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Mid-career and senior-level staff with at least a diploma in laboratory science (human, animal, or environmental health).
• At least five years of experience in a laboratory setting, with a minimum of two years in a managerial role involving staff supervision.
• Strong knowledge of Tanzania’s Public and Clinical Health Laboratory Network.
• Computer proficiency.

Course Details:

• Location: Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences, Dar es Salaam
• Application Deadline: 28th February 2025
• Didactic Sessions:
  • 10th – 14th March 2025
  • 09th – 13th June 2025
  • 08th – 12th September 2025

Training Benefits:

• Fully funded training, including daily subsistence allowances.
• Continuing Professional Development Points (CPD) awarded upon completion.
