Senior Programme Officer – Trade
Southern African Development Community (SADC)
The Southern African Development Community (SADC) is seeking a highly qualified and experienced individual to fill the position of Senior Programme Officer – Trade at its Headquarters in Gaborone, Botswana.
About SADC:
SADC is a regional economic community comprising 16 Member States in Southern Africa, with a population of approximately 340 million and a combined GDP of US$720 billion. SADC aims to promote socio-economic, political, and security cooperation among its Member States, fostering regional integration for peace, stability, and prosperity.
Position Details:
- Job Grade: 4
- Salary Range: US$93,097 – US$99,643 per annum
- Contract Duration: 4 years, renewable twice based on performance and need
- Location: Gaborone, Botswana
Eligibility:
Applicants must be citizens of the following SADC Member States:
Angola, Botswana, Democratic Republic of Congo, Eswatini, Lesotho, Madagascar, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Seychelles, South Africa, United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.
Requirements:
- A relevant advanced degree in Trade, Economics, or a related field.
- Significant experience in trade policy, regional integration, or related areas.
- Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work in a multicultural environment.
