Located at the Chief Mazengo Campus in Dodoma, SJUT is seeking to recruit qualified and motivated individuals to join its team. Applications are invited for the following positions:
1. Laboratory Technician – Biology (1 Post)
- Reports to: Dean, Faculty of Natural and Applied Sciences (FANAS)
- Duty Station: SJUT Chief Mazengo Campus, Dodoma
- Job Summary: Supervise and administer practical duties for biology students, and assist in the repair and maintenance of laboratory facilities.
- Qualifications: Ordinary Diploma in Laboratory Technology or Laboratory Sciences with a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 5-point scale.
- Main Duties:
- Conduct laboratory practicals, student projects, and research.
- Assist in repairing and maintaining laboratory equipment.
- Support senior staff in laboratory operations.
- Salary Scale: According to SJUT Scheme of Service.
- Tenure: Four-year fixed-term contract, renewable based on performance.
2. Office Management Secretary (1 Post)
- Reports to: Director of Human Resource Management and Administration (DHRMA)
- Duty Station: SJUT Chief Mazengo Campus, Dodoma
- Job Summary: Provide office management and secretarial support to the University’s executive offices.
- Qualifications: Ordinary Diploma in Secretarial Studies or equivalent, with advanced computer skills and proficiency in shorthand, typing, and office procedures.
- Experience: Prior experience in a high-profile office is an advantage.
- Main Duties:
- Typing, photocopying, and filing documents.
- Managing correspondence, appointments, and meetings.
- Handling receptionist duties and confidential matters.
- Salary Scale: According to SJUT Scheme of Service.
- Tenure: Four-year fixed-term contract, renewable based on performance.
