Job Announcement: Pharmaceutical Technician

Position Purpose:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmaceutical Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising all compliance, technical, administrative, and commercial branch operations to ensure adherence to regulations and professional standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Compliance & Supervision: Ensure all branch operations comply with GDP requirements, including stock verification, temperature monitoring, and proper storage of controlled drugs.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain proper inventory of medicines, medical supplies, and pharmacy items in line with good pharmacy practice standards.
  • Temperature Control: Monitor and record temperature logs every 3 hours to ensure cold chain products are stored within the required range (2-8°C).
  • Regulatory Adherence: Ensure strict regulation of controlled drugs (DDA) and maintain a secure chain of custody for keys to DDA and quarantine areas.
  • SOP Implementation: Ensure all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are in place, updated, and followed.
  • Branch Compliance: Ensure the branch meets all regulatory requirements set by TMDA and the Pharmacy Council.

Key Performance Indicators:

  • Compliance with regulatory bodies (TMDA and Pharmacy Council).
  • Improved delivery conditions and customer experience.
  • Optimization of branch processes.
  • Effective implementation of SOPs and ISO standards.
  • Positive audit ratings for the branch.

Key Working Relationships:

  • Internal: Branch Manager, Assistant Branch Manager, Senior and Junior Colleagues.
  • External: TMDA, Pharmacy Council, Customers.

Competencies:

  • Technical Skills: Commercial awareness, strong organizational and communication skills, familiarity with Microsoft Suite.
  • Behavioral Competencies: Respect for others, sociable, result-oriented, decisive, and a team player.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Pharmacy.
  • Enrolled Pharmaceutical Technician.
  • 2 years of experience in a similar role (preferred).
  • Knowledge of state laws and regulations regarding pharmacy practices.
